BALTIMORE – September 25, 2024. Waranch & Brown, LLC, one of the top litigation defense firms in Maryland, is pleased to announce the hiring of Madeline Dwivedi as a trial attorney and an associate, effective immediately.
“We are pleased to welcome Madeline to our growing team of litigators, all of whom are focused on delivering outstanding legal services in the complex area of medical-legal matters,” Managing Partner Christina N. Billiet said. “Madeline’s unique background as a registered nurse in Maryland and Washington, D.C., along with her expertise in health care policy and law, makes her an invaluable addition to our firm. We are excited about the bright future ahead as we continue to expand and serve our clients with excellence.”
Ms. Dwivedi began her career in the health care industry as a registered nurse, working in the emergency department and, more recently, pediatric intensive care unit, where she received the “Nurse of the Year” award in 2020. Her experiences within the health care system turned her into the Nurse Policy Leader of her hospital and inspired her to become a health care attorney.
Prior to joining Waranch & Brown, Ms. Dwivedi worked as an associate at Epstein Becker & Green in their Washington, DC, office. Ms. Dwivedi then served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Charles D. Austin on the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
Ms. Dwivedi received her law degree in 2023 from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, graduating cum laude, with a specialty in health care law.
Prior to law school, Ms. Dwivedi obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Ms. Dwivedi’s nursing license remains active in the State of Maryland.
Ms. Dwivedi is licensed in Maryland, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and the Fourth Circuit. She is a member of the Federal Bar Association.
“I’m thrilled to join Waranch and Brown’s highly respected team of trial attorneys,” Ms. Dwivedi said. “I am gaining valuable experience defending clients in medical malpractice cases and advocating for health professionals in professional licensing matters.”
