The MD500 recognition adds to a growing list of honors for Ms. Billiet, whose career has been distinguished by leadership in the courtroom, the legal profession and the community.
Ms. Billiet is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the preeminent organization of trial lawyers in North America. She is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, and a member of numerous state, local and national professional organizations.
As Managing Partner of Waranch & Brown, Ms. Billiet brings extensive experience defending medical malpractice cases and representing physicians, nurses and other health care providers in a wide range of medical-legal matters. She has led numerous trial teams and obtained defense verdicts in multimillion-dollar cases in state and federal courts.
In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Billiet has co-authored articles for legal publications and delivered Grand Rounds, claims committee presentations and other professional lectures for attorneys and health care providers. She has also served the broader community as Past President of the Board of Directors for the Family Crisis Center of Baltimore County, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive services to families experiencing conflict and violence.
