Anthony (Tony) Breschi is an AV-rated trial attorney and partner at Waranch & Brown, LLC. His practice focuses primarily on the defense of physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice cases. He has tried numerous medical malpractice cases at the trial level of Maryland and Federal Courts. He is also a member of the Bar of the District of Columbia and has tried cases in the Superior Court and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. He has argued appeals before the Maryland Court of Appeals, Maryland Court of Special Appeals and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Mr. Breschi has also represented physicians before the Maryland Board of Physicians and in credentialing matters.
Mr. Breschi has been privileged to provide lectures to risk management personnel, medical students, nursing personnel, and nursing students on medical-legal issues.
Mr. Breschi received his law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1987. He was a law clerk for the Honorable Frank E. Cicone from 1987 to 1988. He graduated from Georgetown University cum laude in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Mr. Breschi is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Baltimore County Bar Association. He is the Chair of Maryland Defense Counsel’s Healthcare and Compliance Subcomittee.
Recognized as a “Super Lawyer” in medical malpractice defense work, Mr. Breschi has co-authored articles for legal publications, including Sometimes “Blind” is Better!, published in The Defense Line in 2014 and Ex Parte Communications with Former Employees: How to Protect Your Corporate Client, published in The Defense Line in 2016.
