Isn’t Cyber Security Just an IT Problem?

Too often, network security is ignored until a problem arises.  In an effort to test our firm’s security, we went so far as to hire a company to “hack” into our database and test for a breach.  Fortunately, we received an excellent rating on our firewalls, but some potential security issues were identified (and have been addressed!).

Because we work with confidential and privileged information, our firm is committed to ensuring that the materials we handle are as “cyber–secure” as possible. Here’s what we learned: even simple tasks like accessing the web, downloading material or software applications, make us vulnerable to security breaches. So, how secure are your systems?

Routine security assessments are mandatory — all of your business partners, including law firms, should incorporate safe cyber practices into everyday routine.  (To see our security “report card,” click here.)

If you have any questions about this or other issues, please contact us at any time.
