Former Law Clerk becomes third managing partner in firm’s 21-year history
BALTIMORE – Waranch & Brown, LLC, one of the top litigation defense firms in Maryland, is pleased to announce Christina Billiet as its new managing partner. She succeeds the firm’s founding member, Neal Brown. The succession took effect on July 1.
Ms. Billiet and Mr. Brown will continue their busy practices representing Maryland’s professional insurance carriers, physicians and hospitals at trial in malpractice matters involving multi-million-dollar exposures.
“It’s easy to release the reigns of leadership when they will be picked up by someone as capable as Tina,” Mr. Brown said. “Tina has been significantly engaged in firm management and a key contributor to the firm’s success as a trial lawyer, client advocate, and now managing partner. I’m looking forward to continuing to try cases with Tina as she leads the firm into a new era.”
Ms. Billiet has practiced law since 2008 and spent her entire career at Waranch & Brown, advancing from a summer Law Clerk, to Associate to Partner. She has successfully tried cases as lead counsel in the District and Circuit Courts of Maryland, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, obtaining defense verdicts in multi-million-dollar cases.

Selected as a “Rising Star” by Maryland Super Lawyers every year since 2013, Ms. Billiet received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland Honors Program in 2005. She received her law degree in 2008 from the University of Baltimore, School of Law.

Born and raised in tiny Port Deposit, Ms. Billiet is the oldest of four children in a hardworking family. She went through public school in Cecil County and became the first of her immediate family members to obtain a college degree.
