Baltimore, Maryland – October 20, 2025 – Christina N. Billiet, Managing Partner at Waranch & Brown, LLC, has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), one of the premier legal associations in North America. The induction ceremony took place before an audience of approximately 950 distinguished guests during the College’s Annual Meeting held recently in Washington, D.C.
Founded in 1950, the ACTL is widely recognized as the preeminent organization of trial lawyers in North America, composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Fellowship is extended by invitation only, following a rigorous investigation process, to experienced trial lawyers who have demonstrated the highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, professionalism, civility, and collegiality. Candidates must have at least fifteen years of trial experience before consideration for Fellowship.
Ms. Billiet has extensive experience defending complex medical malpractice cases and representing physicians, nurses, and other health care providers in Board of Physician, guardianship, and hospital privileging matters. She has led numerous trial teams to defense verdicts in multimillion-dollar cases in both state and federal courts.
In addition to her Fellowship in the ACTL, Ms. Billiet is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, and an active member of several professional organizations including the Maryland State Bar Association, District of Columbia Bar Association, and Maryland Defense Counsel.
Beyond the courtroom, Ms. Billiet is Past President of the Board of Directors for the Family Crisis Center of Baltimore County, a nonprofit dedicated to serving families affected by conflict and violence. She also chairs the Annual Giving Campaign at her children’s school.
Ms. Billiet earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from the University of Maryland Honors Program and her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law. The ACTL strives to preserve and enhance trial practice, civility, professionalism, and the administration of justice through support of an independent judiciary, the rule of law, trial by jury, and access to justice.
