Michele Blumenfeld

Michele Blumenfeld is a trial attorney and partner at Waranch & Brown. Her practice concentrates in civil litigation with a focus on defending medical research institutions and healthcare providers against tort and medical malpractice claims. Her extensive litigation experience has brought her before the Circuit and District Courts of Maryland and Federal Court. Ms. Blumenfeld has also successfully briefed and argued cases before the Court of Appeals and Court of Special Appeals. From 2001 until 2013, Ms. Blumenfeld gained the unique perspective of a fact finder and arbiter as a Hearing Officer for the Baltimore City Civil Service Commission.

Ms. Blumenfeld is a graduate of St. Mary’s College of Maryland and the University of Baltimore School of Law, with honors. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Blumenfeld served as a law clerk to the Honorable M. Brooke Murdock in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.

Ms. Blumenfeld is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. She has held numerous positions of leadership within the Bar Association for Baltimore City, including serving as the Chair of the Young Lawyer’s Division in 2004. As a result of her work within that organization, Ms. Blumenfeld was the recipient of the President’s Award in 2006. She has also served on the Maryland State Bar Association’s Board of Governors. She is a Fellow in the Maryland Bar Foundation and the Baltimore Bar Foundation, where she has also served as a Trustee since 2004. Ms. Blumenfeld also serves on the Board of the Baltimore City Courthouse and Law Museum Foundation and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association. In 2010, Ms. Blumenfeld was honored as one of the Daily Record’s “Leading Women” in recognition of her professional accomplishments.

Ms. Blumenfeld was listed as one of the “Rising Stars” in Maryland Super Lawyers 2010, 2011, 2012 and is listed as a “Super Lawyer” every year since 2013.
