Lisa J. Russell is a trial attorney and partner at Waranch & Brown. Her practice focuses primarily on medical malpractice and general liability defense. Mrs. Russell has litigated medical malpractice cases in the District and Circuit Courts of Maryland as well as the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. She has argued before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals and handled several Petitions to the Maryland Court of Appeals. She has been admitted Pro Hac Vice to various trial level Courts in Pennsylvania, where she has been involved in the defense of numerous medical malpractice cases.
Mrs. Russell received her law degree from the University of Baltimore Law School in 2001, where she was an active staff member of the Law Review. She received her B.S. from Stevenson University in 1997.
Mrs. Russell is an active member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Baltimore County Bar Association, Defense Research Institute and the Maryland Society for Healthcare Risk Management.
Mrs. Russell was a co-founder of The Matthews Foundation, a non-profit corporation dedicated to children diagnosed with Leukemia. She is very active in her local community, including service on the Marge Goodfellow Playground Committee dedicated to building an ADA accessible playground for local children. She also volunteers frequently at her children’s school, including the Student Mentor program.
