Lisa J. Russell is a trial attorney and partner at Waranch & Brown. Her practice focuses primarily on defending doctors in medical malpractice cases and Board related licensing issues. Mrs. Russell has litigated medical malpractice cases in the District and Circuit Courts of Maryland as well as the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. She has argued before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals and handled several Petitions to the Maryland Court of Appeals. She has been admitted Pro Hac Vice to various trial level Courts in Pennsylvania, where she has been involved in the defense of numerous medical malpractice cases.
Mrs. Russell received her law degree from the University of Baltimore Law School in 2001, where she was an active staff member of the Law Review. She received her B.S. from Stevenson University (Villa Julie College) in 1997.
Mrs. Russell is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Baltimore County Bar Association, Defense Research Institute and the Maryland Society for Healthcare Risk Management. Mrs. Russell has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” in medical malpractice defense work.
