Saamia Dasti is a trial attorney and partner at Waranch & Brown with extensive litigation experience. Her practice is focused on the defense of physicians, hospitals, research institutions and product manufacturers. Ms. Dasti has tried cases to verdict in Maryland State and Federal courts and the District of Columbia. She also has experience in Maryland’s appellate courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Dasti was an associate at a prominent law firm in Rockville, Maryland, where she represented clients in complex commercial litigation and transactions as well as litigation arising from construction defects, premises liability and personal injury. Ms. Dasti has also worked with the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of International Affairs where she laid the groundwork for the prosecution of international criminals and the negotiation of extradition treaties. In addition, Ms. Dasti served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert H. Heller, Jr. of the Circuit Court of Maryland for Anne Arundel County.

Ms. Dasti received her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law in 2000 where she was a member of the Moot Court Board and received multiple honors in moot court competitions. In 2001, Ms. Dasti obtained a Masters in International & Comparative Law from Georgetown University Law Center. She received her undergraduate degree from Emory University in business and political science in 1997.

Ms. Dasti has language abilities in French, Arabic and Urdu. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, the Baltimore County Bar Association, Maryland Defense Counsel and the MD-DC Society for Healthcare Risk Management.
